Major Rust Repair

The raw repair.

The bare metal on the tub is susceptible rusting, and once the rusting has begun there is no reversing it. We do our best to remove as much of it as your can but there is always a chance it could return. But a simple Bondo repair and the expertise of our skill technicians saved this tub from falling into disrepair.  It is important to monitor the rusting in your tub because if left too long it is create the need for a major repair.

The process.

We start by cutting out all of the visible rust and continue by sanding the area down to the bare metal.  Then bondo is used to fill and essentially rebuild the affected areas and left to dry.  After it is done drying it is important to re-sand those areas so the repair is flush with the original tub and won’t be noticeable once the resurfacing material is applied. The goal is to eliminate the rust and fill those areas without anyone knowing they were there in the first place.

The finished product.

Chips in porcelain tubs or a little cosmetic rusting seem small and inconsequential but in actuality can become a much larger problem over time.  Repairing these before the rusting process begins can make for an easier repair but these standard sized tubs was still able to be repaired by our skillful technicians regardless.  Our unique 8-layer resurfacing system and the expertise of our technicians can save almost any tub!

Major Tile Repair

The raw repair.

Faulty grouting allowed water to get behind these tiles causing a large moisture issue behind the wall.  When the tiles started to fall off is when this repair turned from minor or major.  Our skilled technician was able to assess the damage as well as replace the backer board, tile, and grout to keep this wall structurally sound.  It is important to monitor bathrooms for loose or cracked tiles because moisture can cause problem other than loose tiles such as mold and mildew.

The finished product.

A few loose tiles may seem small and inconsequential but in actuality can become a much larger problem over time.  Repairing these tiles before they start falling off the wall can make for an easier repair but this tile wall was still able to be repaired by our skillful technicians regardless.
